Starting with nose rub before moving on to soft kisses.

Work in Galley-La was hard, time consuming and demanding—but Kaku was doing everything he could to make it up for you. Coming home at the same time everyday was a ritual of his with which he was showing you his love and care. There was time for work —and there was time for you. Work had no place around time reserved for his precious girlfriend. The others could take extra hours, but he was always already on his way home with the first ‘end of the shift’ signal. Since then all of his work was left behind, and the only thing he had in mind was you and all the things he wanted to do for you and with you only.

This time he brought you a little bunch of fresh flowers, a bottle of your favorite drink and some candies packed in a cute paper bag with giraffes printed on it. You already knew at what time you could expect him, so you were waiting with dinner hot and ready, lazily browsing through today’s newspaper. As you suspected, he didn’t enter the apartment through the door like a normal person would; he jumped on the windowsill and gently knocked at the pane. He welcomed you with the brightest of his precious smiles and waited patiently for you to open the window.

“Good afternoon, heart.” He loved giving you cute nicknames. So today you were ‘his heart’. Sometimes you were ‘love’, sometimes ‘the sun of his life’ and sometimes even ‘his cute little giraffe’. Such an endearing, adorable man—you were so lucky to have his trust and love.

Kaku easily jumped straight into the kitchen and gave you all the little presents he bought for you. “What are we having for dinner today, dear?”

And before you could answer, he was already looking through pots, soaking the aroma of fresh and warm food. “My favorite! How did you know?”

“You always say I cook your favorite food,” you teased him, gently making your way to finally serve dishes.

“That’s because I love everything my lovely giraffe cooks for me.”

You couldn’t help it, a small taint of embarrassment covered your face. There was something in him that was turning you helpless and weak. How can a man possibly be that cute?

“You are so pretty, Y/N.” Kaku’s face was simply enamored as he watched all the expressions and emotions you were showing. He gently held your chin and tilted your head up to have a better view. “Would you do me the honor of letting me kiss you?”

“I already told you you don’t have to ask for such things, you dummy.” You gave him an encouraging smile. “We have been together for so long.”

“Can’t help it. Hearing words of consent from the most beautiful woman in the world makes me so happy.”

He gently pressed the very tip of his rectangular nose to yours. You had no idea why he was doing it—you made an assumption his nose was very sensitive and he liked to express his affection through giving you free access to this very vulnerable part of his body. You answered the caress by gently rubbing your nose against his. Soft chuckle escaped his mouth, but he let you do as you pleased, apparently approving this little affection. You reached to cup his cheeks and slowly put your lips to use, moving from the tip of said nose towards cheek bones and then down, towards his lips. It was a bit hard due to his unusual face shape, but eventually you found the right angle and met each other in a soft and sweet kiss, full of love, care and adoration. Kaku was always fully focused on you during a kiss—not imposing rhythm or tempo, but answering your movements in a perfect way. Honestly, you could kiss him for eternity and never get tired of this sweet man. No wonder you both quickly lost track of time.

The sound of a cuckoo clock brought you back to senses. With a disappointed groan you realised the food was already cold.

“No worries,” Kaku kissed the top of your head, “I’ll take care of everything and reheat it. You sit down, you did enough work today. Now it’s my time to treat my lady.”
